Using TTouch to ease the stresses of traveling was a story topic at one of my earliest TTEAM trainings held at Spring Farm Cares in NY back in the late 1980’s.
One of the Practitioners spoke about driving from Wisconsin to Florida by trailer with her horse and a friend’s horse. At each stop they would offer the horses water. She used Tellington TTouch Python Lifts on her horse’s legs at every stop to prevent fatigue and improve circulation. As they progressed on the long trip, she began to notice that the leg’s of her friend’s horse began to stock up with swelling. Although she offered TTouch for her friend’s horse a few times, her friend declined.
Once they arrived in Florida her horse came out of the trailer fresh and with little filling in his legs. Her friend’s horse however was not in such great shape. The simple story made a lasting impression on me.
Recently when I was traveling to visit family I was flying all day and had 2 plane connections. By the last leg, after 8 hours or so of traveling, I noticed that I was feeling fatigued and my legs were a little swollen. The story about the traveling horses came to mind.
I used TTouch Python Lifts mixed with Turtle TTouches along the length of my legs
for circulation and awareness. That felt great! I added in Clouded and Lying Leopard TTouch Circles all over my arms, neck, head and chest to relieve stress.
I continued with quick Ear Strokes starting at the bottom of my ear lobe, and stroked outward. I continued 4-5 times as worked my way up from the base of the ear lobe to the tip of one ear and then the same with the other ear. This helped overall clarity and focus.
I took a deep breath and I gradually started feeling more refreshed. I added a few Hair Slides and Heart Hugs for good measure! All of this took about 5 minutes.
By the time I landed, about an hour later, I felt GREAT! I was invigorated, my legs were no longer swollen and I felt strong and ready to see my family. I was surprised at how balanced my energy was well into the night after a full day of traveling across the country. Usually, when I forget to add in TTouch like this, I am wiped out from a day of travel with time zone changes.
Even after all these years of using TTouch and seeing wonderful results, I was delighted at the ‘Magic’ of TTouch!
