On this precious Earth Day, let’s honor and appreciate the Trees.

Dreaming
In my mind’s eye, I’d been seeing
an Oak tree on a hillside for many months
during my meditations.
Near the Oak, I saw myself meditating.
The sky was expansive, the hills golden.
The tree was filled with wisdom that ran deep.
In April 2016, I was visiting San Luis Obispo, CA
to scope out a place to live for myself, my cat,
the horses and business. I loved the area.
Communicating with the Animals
During this visit, I was relaying information
back and forth with the horses about many
of the barns I visited. I’d check in with them
telepathically, asking about different details I’d see,
and ‘talking’ it through with them to see which one
would best suit all of us. Nothing quite met all of our needs yet.
I’d asked for a crystal clear sign that
San Luis Obispo area was THE area to move to.
Tree Message
With clear blue skies, temperatures rising into the 70’s, and a trail lined
with oak trees of every size and shape, I went on my first hike in the area.
This was my introduction to the “Live Oaks” of the Central Coast.
As we continued up the trail, I was mesmerized by these trees.
They were whispering to me, beckoning to
connect, to sit with them, to just be with them.
I kept commenting on their shapes and craggy branches twisting and
turning every which way. Some were short and squat, leaning from the ocean winds.
Many were spread wide and low with expansive branches.
The leaves of these oaks were super tiny, dark green.
All were so different then the towering, tall, majestic oaks
from the east coast that I grew up with.
Both have a commanding, ancient presence.
I reached the top of the ridge, with 360 degree views of the valley to the east,
overlooking ocean vistas to the west. I turned to a very lage, wide trunked,
tall, expansively branched ‘grandmother’ tree and walked over to her.
Placing my arms around her with my forehead resting on her trunk, I was immediately washed in tender, soft yet strong energies. I clearly
heard, “Welcome Home.” I wept.
The relief, and the release of so many years of searching, questioning,
and uncertainties of the quest to find this area. For a long time I felt
beckoned to move, and didn’t know to where.
My prayer for clarity was answered more clearly
then I could have imagined with this tree.

Living The Dream
Within 3 months, I’d found the barn for the horses,
and a week after that, found the home where I’m currently living.
Within 5 months of my welcome home message from grandmother
oak, I had mobilized and moved.
Sometime adterwards, I realized this was the Oak tree I’d been seeing
in my meditations. I was called from across the country.
Connection knows no boundaries of time, space, location.
Two years have gone by since that day. I’ve been setting roots here,
navigating and cultivating new life. Continuing to dream and
discover, day to day, what’s next. Living the dream.
Dreaming, listening, taking action, day to day.
I thank the trees for lighting up my heart, giving meaning,
providing their steady support, helping us breath beautiful, life giving air.
On this precious Earth Day, let’s honor and appreciate the Trees.
Hug a tree today and see, hear, feel the messages they have for you.
Guidance comes in many forms… listen, and follow the threads of your guidance.
Receive Your Message
You can also connect with this Grand Grandmother Oak – for you.
Visualize standing there with her, leaning into her
as if you are right there with her, overlooking the ocean…
…feeling, smelling the air… feeling her trunk, standing under
this spectacular, ancient umbrella…
…she has messages for all, not just me….
…Let her wisdom wash through you,
to feel, see, hear through your own connections and message.
Live Your Dreams,
Onward,

I can’t think of a better message than this for this beautiful day, which is finally feeling like springtime in Minnesota.
I would post this to my Facebook page if I knew how. All blessings …

I want to crawl up into the crook of your Grandmother Oak and take a very long nap…..
Sandy Rakowitz says
Awww, Sandy, you and the dogs can imagine you are nestled right in there with this grandmother. Restful for the nerves.

Dear Sandy ,
How amazing! Have been thinking of you and your healing work . I described to a friend recently your use of the essential oils as used in your energy work and how helpful it was to me at that time in my life.
I don’t think I’ve had an experience as profound and safe as with you and your work . I loved your writing and telling of your experience . In North Carolina there are live oaks at Atlantic Beach . They are wonderful and seem to be wise as well . “Your” tree is a beaut!!!! Thanks for sharing . All the best ,

Ohhh, thank you so much Alli, your appreciation, and experiences touch me deeply. It has been an honor to hold the space for you on your journey. LOVE the Live oaks in North Carolina! Yes, thanks for the reminder of them on the east. That must be part of the magic energy on Ocracoke, one of my favorite places ever. I hadn’t thought of that connection with the Live Oaks there…well, plus the land, and amazing beach, ocean, dolphin and bird visitors, sweet, super creativity there, wonderful musicians, people…
