Bridges can be created to go across the ‘sea of energy’ between people, people and animals, or even, within yourself.
People underestimate their capacity to create an impact, the ability to create deep, and long lasting behavioral or health related change.
Surprising openings can open up in relation with your animal’s behavior, health and wellbeing, even when there are injuries, illnesses, or during recovery. In some situations, you may hope there is something to be done, but do not know what, and so you stop searching, or get lulled into the situation staying the same.
Bridges are the Theme for 2017 for my work. Themes invite and call you to dive into it’s meaning and applications, personally, as well as with the work offered. Bridges are metaphors for so many, if not all, areas of life.
‘The idea of a good bridge is to take us from one familiar place to another, crossing a place of difference – a chasm, a piece of chaos that changed us, birth, death, loss, some piece of beauty that awakened us in some way – arriving finally on the other side, changed, yet still within the continuum of the familiar.’ ~ Singer and songwriter, Chris Williamson
We are all a sea of energy, right? Our thoughts and feelings are all energy.
We are all connected via this energy. Let’s create a ‘bridge’ with the concept of being connected via energy with your animal’s behavior and enter into the land of awareness together.
Everyone responds and reacts out of old patterns of behavior learned long ago, motivated by your beliefs. These beliefs and patterns are registered within your energy fields.
Your animal’s behavior and health will reflect areas inside you that are calling to you for understanding and change. The tendency is to think it is all about them. Our only job is to resolve their issue, and the behavior at hand, or the health issue.
We effect one another. Emotions roaming unresolved inside us will generate extra energy charges that are not yet processed. This shows as excess energy bursting, or stagnation where energy is blocked up and not moving.
Layla came to me with her dog who was running off and chasing others.
We worked together with her dog, learning TTouch for calming to the nervous system, creating a deeper bond between them, learning some ways to create boundaries firmly yet with a positive focus and methods.
As we talked, stories unfolded about a significant relationship in her life where she was having massive challenges.
Gradually, the light of understanding came on inside Layla of the challenges she was having in creating clear boundaries for herself. As she began learning with her dog, she experienced being able to take a positive, caring stand for herself, stay in positive relationship, and not want to escape.
Layla began to see how her dog was responding to the unspoken messages energetically coming from Layla. Her energy was reflecting her desire to run off and chase out the other person because she didn’t know how to create a positive change for herself initially. Her dog had been simply riding the tides of energy of taking off, chasing others.
Layla was able to create change with her dog, and also with the situation she faced with this person. Her dog’s so called ‘bad behavior’ had gotten her attention, and from this place she wanted change.
Feeling good enough, believing in your ability to create change, seeing yourself as strong and capable, knowing your worth can all be chasms inside that call to you, to bridge.
“Poetry is not only dream and vision it is the skeleton architecture of our lives. It lays the foundations for a future of change, a bridge across our fears of what has never been before.” ~ Audre Lorde
If you keep looking with an openness to learn, whatever is calling from inside you to grow and change will show itself outwardly somewhere in your life.
I’m here to tell you, Change is possible. Always. You are much more resourceful then you might realize.
“Faith builds the bridge from this old world to the new.” ~Young
