I Trust In The I Am That I Am
I Accept and Love the I Am That I Am…
I have been integrating this series of statements into my meditations and daily activities over the last few months and am finding it revitalizing and very powerful for changing a lot of negative self talk and very old patterns!
Donna Evans Strauss gave an awesome Phone Seminar last night on Healing Family Patterns. Author of the upcoming book Blessings from A Thousand Generations and Founder of the Grace Touch Program Donna spoke about how negative patterns bond or imprint into our brain. She suggests that using this meditation regularly goes right to the brain and can help shift the negative patterning that is imprinted.
You know when you think something over and over again and can’t get out of that rut? We all have it somewhere inside. When this happens, our brain is working from a negative patterning learned very early on in life.
When we are in this state, we forget about trusting the process, respecting ourselves, end up acting in ways that we wish we hadn’t. Like saying yes when we really need to be saying no to someone. Ever been there?
At times like this we forget or even do not know we have light underneath all that goobledygook that we often call dysfunctional, negative, bad. When we go over and over something in our heads, our self-judgments increase, and the cycle actually strengthens!
Balancing between the positive and negative is a way to remedy this patterning. When we re-balance between the negative and positive, we actually activate the light within us that may have been covered, and sometimes not even recognized by ourselves before. Donna speaks about when this re-balancing happens our neurotransmitters have a choice! A shifting can then occur from the negative to the positive. We have to input new information if we want to change something. This allows the brain/body/heart the opportunity for some new messages, or you could say new vibrations.
Restoring the Divine qualities within us is part of our evolution, part of our journey in this body. Reconnecting with love, respect, trust, is a longing for many but often difficult to find.
How To Create This Change?
The I Am meditation, using a series of statements can assist this re-balancing so we can go beyond what we may have felt hostage to inside. These qualities may have been laying dormant for yourself and previous generations, but it is possible to activate them, transmute the old negative patterning and live life differently. Ok, so it is using a series of 7 statements, and bringing it through your body, all the way into your brain, sound too simple?
It may bring up the emotions and thoughts that have been taking up residence in your mind/body initially. So this may not be a one shot deal here. After all, those thoughts and patterns have been roaming freely through our systems for 20, 30, 40 years right? This isn’t necessarily a quick fix.
But I will say from my own experiences, using these statements and bringing it through my body and into my brain has calmed down quite a few times when I have gone off into my never, never land of negative stuff. I have gotten to where I take my favorite of the I Am statements and breath it all the way through me using it as a way to focus my thoughts when I take my walks, do the kitchen dishes and daily chores as a way to re-balance my brain regularly and continue going deeper into the good stuff inside and flushing out the old. I get energized and fueled for my day when I do this.
